U.S. Ambassador to Pakistan
Rick Olson is U.S. Ambassador to Pakistan. He is a 32 year veteran of the State Department and has served in Mexico, Uganda, Tunisia, Saudi Arabia, Ethiopia, the United Arab Emirates, (where he served both in Abu Dhabi and Dubai), Iraq and Afghanistan. He was previously Ambassador to the UAE and Deputy Chief of Mission at the United States Mission to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). He graduated from Brown University in 1981. He is the father of two daughters. In his spare time, Olson enjoys cycling and is an occasional triathlete.
