Ricki R. Sumler is a native of Hampton, Virginia. He has been writing since he was a young boy. His love of poetry compelled him to perform spoken word pieces for various venues such as churches, talent competitions, etc. He was later inspired to lend pen and paper to his talent by writing personalized poetry for individuals in relationships. He also constructed a chat book of poems relating to issues that impact today's society.
