Rebecca MacDonell-Yilmaz earned her BA and MPH from Dartmouth College and her MD from Stony Brook University School of Medicine. She completed her pediatrics residency and chief residency at Brown University/Hasbro Children's Hospital. Her writing has appeared in the journals Pediatrics, Annals of Internal Medicine, Journal of the American Geriatrics Society, and Journal of the American Medical Association, as well as the literary journal The Writers' Circle. She is also the author of the poetry chapbook "Tools for Survival," published by Finishing Line Press.
