Novelist, journalist, mental-health activist
Robert David Jaffee is the author of Strikeout at Hell Gate, a novel, published in 1998, about baseball set in racially torn New York. He won 1st place in commentary at the L.A. Press Club Awards for an op-ed on mental illness that he wrote in the L.A. Times in 2005. Since overcoming two psychotic breaks in the late 1990s, Robert has written roughly 300 articles for publications ranging from the L.A. Times, L.A. Weekly, Jewish Journal and the Huffington Post. He is a graduate of Yale College and the Yale School of Management.
