Cinematographer, Half the Sky: Turning Oppression into Opportunity for Women Worldwide. Robert has photographed numerous award-winning documentary films, including productions by National Geographic, the Discovery Channel, NOVA, and the BBC. His film credits include PBS’s Circus, about the Big Apple Circus, and Carrier, shot aboard the Navy aircraft carrier Nimitz; Sundance’s American Teen; Nova’s Lord of the Ants, about the renowned biologist E. O. Wilson; Discovery’s Galapagos: Beyond Darwin; NBC's Lost Civilizations; and BBC’s series on the D.E.A. He codirected Live From a Shark Cage, broadcast live from the Bikini Atoll for the Discovery Channel, and an episode of Discovery’s archaeology series Moments in Time about the slave revolt on the island of St. John.
