Robert Jay Stahl was born on 12/14/1950 in New York N.Y.
He moved to the West Coast in the early fifties settling in the San Fernando Valley.

At eleven his father joined the U.S. Diplomatic Core and moved his family to Italy to serve in Europe.

Robert spent the next eighteen years living and being educated in Europe. He went to school in Switzerland, England and Italy and is fluent in English, Italian, French, and Spanish.

He Graduated from Franklin College in Lugano Switzerland and went on to further his education at the University of Milan Italy in the faculty of Biology.

He married Ileana Giulietti in 1976 and they have a son Daniel born in 1988 in Los Angeles.

Robert and family reside in Los Angeles since 1980.

In the early 70s through 80s Robert tried his hand at acting in Europe and the USA. Appearing in several European and American films and several TV soaps like General Hospital, Days of our lives and Young and the Restless.

Robert opened Dollar Driving School in 1980 and has worked tirelessly in Traffic Safety and the Driver Education field the past 29 years.

He was President of the Driving School Association of California for two years 96-97. He also was responsible for setting up the first Driving School Association of California Safety web site a first of its kind (www.dsac.com). His school has won the National Safety Councils fleet safety and business and industry awards from 1994. He runs one of the top Driving Schools in California (DOLLAR DRIVING SCHOOL) and is involved in all aspects of traffic safety, and is well known in the traffic safety community.

He was reelected to the post of DSAC president in 2007-2008

He has been reelected DSAC president also for 2009-2010.
