Robert Lawrence

Director, Center for a Livable Future at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health

Dr. Lawrence is the director of the Johns Hopkins Center for a Livable Future at the Bloomberg School of Public Health. The Center seeks to promote research and to develop and communicate information about the complex interrelationships among diet, food production, environment and human health. He chairs the board of directors of Physicians for Human Rights, which shared the 1997 Nobel Peace Prize for its work to eliminate the use of anti-personnel landmines. He trained in internal medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital.
