Robert Maynord

In 1988, Robert Maynord received a Masters degree in Art and Consciousness Studies, and later a Ph.D. in Education. When he was in graduate school in Berkeley, he studied with well known, highly creative and active artists from all around the San Francisco Bay Area. This led to the forming of a recording label, and further studies in visual art. Currently, his paintings are in several Wisconsin galleries, and he has an on-line art supplies web site called The Art Treehouse. The Art Treehouse is based on the idea that: 1) It should be possible to do art in the studio or home without worrying about toxic materials, and 2) it should be possible for artists to have a greater mix of both control and freedom when working with their own art materials.
