Rocco Rossi has been the CEO of the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario since November 2004. Prior to that, he had an extensive career in the private sector with senior roles at Advanced Material Resources, The Boston Consulting Group, The Toronto Star, Labatt/Interbrew and MGI Software. Rocco sits or has sat on a number of private, public and charitable boards including AMR, the Ivey Foundation, the Internet Advertising Bureau of Canada, the Empire Club of Canada and the United Way of Greater Toronto. Rocco is a graduate of McGill University (BA honours) and Princeton University (MA Politics).

Rocco has walked 900 km of the fabled Camino de Santiago in Spain twice. To raise funds and awareness for various Heart and Stroke Foundation initiatives he has kayaked 490 km solo from Toronto to Ottawa, cycled the entire 1900 km length of Yonge Street from Rainy River to Toronto, and most recently climbed the 7 tallest office towers in Toronto enough times over three days to equal the height of Mt. Everest.
