Screenwriter, producer, comedian, teacher and social activist
Roderick Spencer is a screenwriter, producer, former Stand Up comedian,
teacher and social activist. In 1989 he and his wife, Alfre Woodard and a
group of friends started the anti-apartheid organization Artists for a Free
South Africa, which has evolved into Artists for a New South
Africa(ANSAfrica.org). Roderick, Alfre and their (alarmingly tall) children,
Mavis and Duncan, live in Santa Monica.
