PhD candidate in Gender and Development, SOAS, University of London. Economist and development practitioner. Work focuses on women in labour markets. Has participated in several research networks/consultancies about women during the civil war, women refugees, women and practices of faith, among others. Expert on the Syrian refugee crisis and its implications in Lebanon. Has participated in conferences, consultancies and research focus groups on the humanitarian crisis of Syrian refugees, particularly in Lebanon. Founder and Director, Sawa For Development and Aid, a grassroots initiative supporting Syrian refugees in Lebanon.
