Rula Jebreal is an award-winning journalist, foreign policy analyst and author. She was the first foreign journalist to anchor the evening news in Italy, in addition to hosting multiple political shows where she interviewed Italian politicians and businessmen. Her first book, Miral, sold two million copies and was made into a movie of the same name.

Currently, she works for MSNBC as a foreign policy analyst and writes for Newsweek/Daily Beast about the rise of Islamist extremism and the new political order in the Arab Muslim world. She appears frequently on the shows of Charlie Rose, Fareed Zakaria and Bill Maher. She is fluent in English, Hebrew, Arabic and Italian, and she lives in New York City.
