A blog focusing on bilingualism and bilingual education. In addition to raising to bilingual daughters, I teach in the School of Education at Miami Dade College, research effective ways to support young bilingual students, provide consulting services to preschools, and present my work at local, national, and international conferences. My courses prepare future teachers to work with young students who are learning two or more languages, often referred to as English language learners (ELLs), my research looks at how preschool teachers use all of their language resources to teach their students, my consulting employs observation and coaching to work with teachers, and my presentations focus on what I have learned as a professor, researcher, and father.
