Deputy Director, Economic Program at Third Way

Ryan McConaghy is the Deputy Director of the Economic Program at Third Way where he works on an array of economic issues affecting middle class Americans. Previously, he served as Legislative Director for Representative John Hall and worked in the office of Senator Charles Schumer as the Legislative Assistant overseeing energy policy, national defense issues, foreign affairs, agriculture and other matters. In 2006 he served as Policy Director during Sheldon Whitehouse’s successful Senate campaign in Rhode Island. Mr. McConaghy graduated from American University in 2000 with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a minor degree in International Studies. He has commented on policy matters in a variety of media outlets, including Forbes, The Detroit Free Press, Kansas City Business Journal, and CNN.
