Ryan Opaz has been blogging at Catavino.net since 2004 where he helps people discover the wines, foods and cultures of Portugal and Spain, recently including offering custom tours to bring these to life.
Ryan is also the co-founder of the annual Digital Wine Communications Conference and speaker at International events on the use of technology as a tool to sell yourself and your products more effectively.
In 2005 his wife and him sold everything and moved from Minnesota, USA to Madrid, Spain for a change of view. After 8 years in Spain(Madrid/Barcelona) they eventually moved to Porto, Portugal where they are currently raising their son and falling in love with the foods, wines, and people of Portugal. In his free time he likes to dabble in photography while traveling the world. At heart though he is a liquid agnostic wandering the world with an old ale, manhattan, fine oolong, home roasted coffee or glass of bubbly in hand.
