S.F. Siddiqui was born and raised in the Washington, DC-area and returned to Maryland after earning a BA in English from Amherst College and an MA and MS Ed from the University of Pennsylvania. After several years as teacher, mentor, and English department chair in local high schools, she now teaches college writing. She is currently developing her own fiction and nonfiction prose. Her recent short story "Farewell" was featured in a recent issue of Torrid Literature Journal.
