Chairman, Moby Media Group

Saad Mohseni is Chairman of Moby Media Group, Afghanistan's most diverse media company with interests in television, radio, print, directories and IT&T. Saad is an Afghan Australian who returned to his native Afghanistan in 2004 and along with his brothers Zaid Mohseni and Jahid Mohseni to create the country’s leading privately owned and integrated media company.

Moby Capital’s media outlets reach some 12 million Afghans daily representing over 60% of the total media audience in the country.

Moby's media interests include Tolo TV, Lemar TV, Arman FM, Afghan Scene Magazine, Barbud Music, Aria Productions and YellowPages Afghanistan. In 2005, TOLO TV won the prestigious RSF (Reporters Sans Frontieres) award in recognition of its role in contributing to press freedom in Afghanistan.

Moby Media Group is operated out of Kabul, Afghanistan with 15 regional offices. Moby’s regional business is conducted out of Dubai’s Media City.

In addition to its broadcast media interests, Moby owns and operates Afghan ITT, Afghanistan's most dynamic IT&T entity. AITT represents CISCO, HP and MGE partners in the country. Moby is also a substantial shareholder in iPlayUp ME – the Asian and Middle Eastern affiliate of a global gaming entity.

Mr. Mohseni has extensive background in investment banking, equities and financial markets in Melbourne, Sydney and London. Prior to establishing Moby Media Group, Saad headed an Australian investment banking entity’s Equities and Corporate Finance Divisions.
