Saadia Faruqi is a Pakistani American interfaith activist and author of Brick Walls: Tales of Hope & Courage from Pakistan. She grew up in Karachi where she spent a considerable amount of time observing the dichotomy between modern and conservative Pakistani life. In her early twenties she married and moved to the U.S. Currently in Houston, TX she divides her time between raising her two children, working as an interfaith activist, and writing whatever strikes her fancy.
