Muslim, Black, Interfaith Presenter, Blogger and Blog Editor, Seeker of Truth, Promoting Consciousness, Tar Heel Born & Bred

I am a Muslim American, born and raised in the faith to African-American converts who accepted Islam in their young adulthood in the 1970s. I am the blog editor for Muslim Anti-Racism Collaborative (MuslimARC), a faith-based education organization whose mission is to uproot racism in Muslim communities. I am a native of Durham, NC and former co-chair of the Women's Committee of the local Muslim community where I organized events that promoted social welfare, interfaith relationships, and spiritual growth. In addition to my 10-year career in Pharmaceutical Research, I currently serve as a regular interfaith presenter at a local college. I speak about the religion and my spiritual journey, and participate in interfaith panel discussions.
