Samuel White Swan-Perkins is a freelance journalist and owner of White Swan-Perkins Cultural Consulting based in Butte County, Ca. He is a long time member of the San Francisco Bay Area Native American community, is a powwow singer and member of the Kiowa Gourd Dance Society. When he is not busy attending powwows, he is likely to be found hiking near the Sutter Buttes with his girlfriend and their two dogs. Sam and his partner are the founders of Indigenous Support Collaborative Nor Cal, a project that promotes the environmental struggles of Indigenous people across Turtle Island.
