Sara Hottinger

Higher education administrator; women's & gender studies professor; author of Inventing the Mathematician.

Sara Hottinger is the associate dean of arts and humanities and professor of women's and gender studies at Keene State College. She earned her Ph.D. in Feminist Studies from the University of Minnesota and her B.A. in Women's Studies and Mathematics from Beloit College. Dr. Hottinger is an interdisciplinary scholar, whose research interests include feminist epistemology, cultural studies of science, and the history and philosophy of mathematics. She is the author of Inventing the Mathematician: Gender, Race and Our Cultural Understanding of Mathematics.
