Sarah Deane is a passionate advocate for, and expert in, Experience Design and Data Science. She uses human-data driven methodologies to enable businesses to achieve their goals. With an engineering background in A.I and a career in Experience Design her previous experience includes growing CX and UX teams, creating Experience Labs, and the creation of predictive algorithms. With an understanding of how a human, their task, and their environment interact – she has worked on a variety of experiences such as software and applications, hardware, services, Customer Experience (CX) and workplace design. Her company, EffectUX, uses their process of extensive research and rich data modeling to discover the exact attributes that enable the successful achievement of a vision or defined goal. Their methodology for quantifying experience while delivering deep insights was recently featured in an IDC PeerScape for industry best practices. Sarah holds a Masters in Engineering with a focus on Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence and published her first book on UX in 2014. Written as a UX primer and a how-to, 4HourUX provides rapid insight into understanding, developing and applying UX strategically. Sarah has spoken at a variety of conferences and events including the Invent Your Future Conference, the America’s Women Leadership Conference, and SXSW Interactive. She frequently writes here on the Huffington Post, the Business Value Exchange, and speaks on panels regarding Experience Design, A.I, data, and metrics.
