Sarah Amsler

Sarah Amsler is a Lecturer in Sociology at Aston University (Birmingham, UK). She writes about the politics of culture and cultural practice, especially the relationship between education and social justice. She works on problems of transformative education and critical pedagogies; practical philosophy; building relationships between social science, political activism and the public university and arts; challenging oppressive thinking and politics; and creating spaces and practices of hope for freedom in everyday life and cultural institutions.
