Sarah Binder is a professor of political science at George Washington University and a senior fellow in Governance Studies at the Brookings Institution, where she specializes in Congress and legislative politics. She is the author or co-author of four books on Congress, including Politics or Principle?: Filibustering in the U.S. Senate, and Stalemate: Causes and Consequences of Legislative Gridlock. She is currently writing a book that explores Congress's relationship with the Federal Reserve over the Fed's first 100 years.
