Sarah E. Towne

Sarah E. Towne is a doctoral student at American University. A first-generation college student, she graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2007 with a B.A. in Sociology. In 2011, she earned a Masters in Public Administration from Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina. She is an ASPA Section for Women in Public Administration (SWPA) scholarship recipient and a former research intern at the Institute for Women's Policy Research (IWPR). She is currently working on her dissertation focusing on work-life balance and public human resources management.

She lives in Washington, DC with her son, Isaac Michael aka "Ike".
