Sarah Hinchliff Pearson

Lawyer, mom, and writer (not in that order)

Sarah is a copyright lawyer by day, mom by night, and occasional writer in the wee small hours of the morning.

She is currently Senior Counsel at Creative Commons, a global nonprofit dedicated to increasing access to knowledge and creativity online. Sarah was previously a residential fellow at Stanford's Center for Internet & Society and an intellectual property associate at a law firm in New York City. She has a journalism degree from Northwestern University and a J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School.

Recently, after 15 years living in Chicago, Ann Arbor, New York, and San Francisco, she moved back to her hometown of Des Moines, Iowa, where she lives the good life with her husband, son, and golden retriever.
