Sarah Richards Kim, M.D. is a psychiatry resident at New York Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia and New York State Psychiatric Institute. She was born and raised in Maine and graduated from Colby College with a BA in psychiatry and religious studies. She attended medical school at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, and upon graduation was selected to receive the Gold Humanism Award. During medical school she developed an interest in maternal mental health throughout pregnancy and the postpartum, and plans to specialize in perinatal psychiatry.
