Disability Activist

Sarah Blahovec is an aspiring disability advocate. Once informed by her violin teacher that her Crohn's Disease made her "too sick" to successfully pursue a degree in International Studies, Sarah graduated from American University's School of International Service in 2014. She is interested in intersectional disability rights, disability voting rights, and disability employment issues. A native of Western Pennsylvania, Sarah now lives in the D.C. area and enjoys learning about foreign policy, playing violin, reading, knitting, and cheering on the Pittsburgh Penguins.
