Science Club For Girls

Non-profit connecting girls with role models in science and engineering

This blog is a production of the Science Club for Girls Media Team. Editorial staff members are local high school students who investigate a range topics -- including science, community, and gender issues--and communicate their findings through their own online magazine, MadSciMag. Readers will also get a chance to hear from other members of the Science Club for Girls community.

Science Club for Girls is a Massachusetts-based non-profit that connects girls and young women with female (and some male) role models through FREE, hands-on explorations in science and engineering. We work in Cambridge, Lawrence, Newton and Boston, targeting girls from underrepresented groups, including those who may be first in their families to attend college. Our weekly science clubs for K-6th graders and our Junior Mentor program, where teens co-teach the clubs, the teen Challenge Teams -- Rocket Team, a Zebrafish Team and a Media Team -- inspire over 600 girls each semester.
