Susan Casey-Lefkowitz is Chief Program Officer at the Natural Resources Defense Council, coordinating our work to achieve NRDC’s core priorities of curbing global warming and creating a clean energy future, reviving the world’s oceans, defending endangered wildlife and wild places, protecting our health by preventing pollution, ensuring safe and sufficient water, and fostering sustainable communities. Susan joined NRDC in 2000 and lead our tar sands and Keystone XL campaigns for many years. She has worked as an environmental advocate around the world since receiving her law degree from University of Virginia in 1990.
