Sen. Don Riegle

Former Senator

Donald W. Riegle, Jr., was born and raised in Flint, Michigan, and represented Flint in the U.S.House of Representatives from 1967 to 1976, and then 18 years in the U.S. Senate, 1976 to 1995. In the Senate, he served as the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs from 1989 to 1994. His father also served as mayor of Flint, 1953 to 1954.
