Born in Tehran and educated in Boston, Setareh Sabety is an Iranian-American essayist and poet. Having published extensively in print and the cyber media, Sabety covers topics from Iranian politics to David Bowie. She was runner-up in the 'editorial' category of 2002 NAM awards for an article about 9/11. Sabety is a part time lecturer and runs her own college advising site helping students apply to colleges in the US.
