Shadia Marhaban

Activist and mediator

Shadia Marhaban is an activist from Aceh. A mediator, post-conflict development consultant, and a tireless advocate for increasing women’s participation in peace and security efforts.
She was a 2011-2012 Fellow at Harvard University’s Weatherhead Center for International Affairs. She serves as a trainer for the N-Peace network in Asia, and currently spends her time training and supporting other women’s peace building efforts in Afghanistan, Burma, Thailand, Nepal, the Philippines and West Papua.
