Shannon Mayock

Director of Marketing and Communications, After-School All-Stars, Los Angeles

Shannon Mayock is the Director of Marketing and Communications for Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger’s founded charity, After-School All-Stars, Los Angeles. She has been with the organization since February 2008, and is responsible for strategic corporate & community partnerships, public affairs, branding initiatives and publicity endeavors.

Prior to her position with After-School All-Stars, Los Angeles, Shannon was the Director of Public Relations for The Cochran Firm, founded by famed attorney Johnnie L. Cochran, Jr. At The Cochran Firm, she was responsible for the media executions and PR logistics for the law firms’ 20 offices across the nation. Shannon has also held positions with McCann Erickson Advertising; internationally recognized as one of the most prestigious and well-respected advertising agencies, and has also worked for the San Diego Union Tribune’s national advertising team.

Shannon studied international politics and public affairs in Europe before obtaining her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Hawaii Pacific University in August of 2002. She is passionate about using her skills to better the lives of deserving youths, therefore advancing the city of Los Angeles.

In her free time, Shannon enjoys being at the beach, reading magazines, shopping and traveling.
