Sharon Adams-Taylor, M.A., M.P.H. is Associate Executive Director of AASA, The School Superintendents Association. Before joining AASA, Adams-Taylor was senior program associate with the Children's Defense Fund, a researcher with the University of North Carolina's Child Health Outcomes Project, director of the National Head Start Resource Access Project, where she coordinated training and technical assistance for 178 Head Start programs in six states, and began her professional life in the Baltimore City Public Schools. Ms. Adams-Taylor held fellowships at the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development and the Walter Reed Army Medical Center, has published several journal articles, and book chapters related to children's health and well-being, and is a member of the Institute of Medicine’s Roundtable on Obesity Solutions and Steering Committee of the Coalition for Healthy Kids.
