Born in Kenya, Sheetal is a pharmacologist and microbiologist by training. A firm advocate of gender equity, over the past decade she has dedicated her research skills to conducting impact evaluations, aiming to demystify the evidence, explain the numbers and so put research into the hands of those that matter. She also feels impact investment is important, it can harness social ethic to economic purposes for a better yield in social development. A keen photographer, she believes in the power of photography for storytelling and has won multiple awards for her research and photo essays with the support of Santander Universities. Currently, Sheetal is enrolled as a PhD candidate at Bournemouth University (UK).
