Shenna Bellows is the Democratic candidate for U.S. Senator from Maine. As executive director of the ACLU of Maine from 2005 to 2013, she helped pass Maine's first-in-the-nation marriage-equality ballot referendum, a strong statewide anti-bullying law, expansion of the Maine Human Rights Act, a law requiring warrants to use drones for domestic surveillance and many more civil-rights victories.
