Since graduating from the University of Minnesota with a B.A. in Geology, Sheryl Corrigan has devoted her entire career to environmental work, starting as an environmental scientist for the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency. Over the course of several years working in different roles in both the public and private sectors, she gained the leadership experience to match her passion for environmental, health and safety (EHS) improvement. Her dedication to EHS eventually inspired her to become commissioner of the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency, where she reported directly to the state’s governor. During her time as commissioner, Ms. Corrigan was instrumental in driving cutting-edge policy initiatives to protect Minnesota’s water, air and overall quality of life. In 2006, she joined Koch companies and has served as EHS and compliance director for Koch Industries, and as a leader of EHS, compliance and biofuels operations at Flint Hills Resources. In her roles with Koch, she values the alignment of EHS responsibility and the company’s business philosophy. Central to both is the commitment to using resources wisely to make products that improve people’s lives. That commitment to a responsible future is a cause that she is proud to support.
