Sheryl McCarthy’s journalism career has included positions at The New York Daily News, where she was reporter and education editor, ABC News, where she was a national correspondent, and Newsday and New York Newsday, where she was a senior writer and a longtime columnist. She has also written for Ms. Magazine, USA Today and The Nation. She is currently a Distinguished Lecturer in journalism at Queens College of the City University of New York, and hosts a weekly talk show, “One to One,” on CUNY-TV.
