Shira Nafshi

Cantor, Farrier, Natural Horsemanship trainer, poet, and songwriter.

Shira was born in Miami, FL, and graduated from Brandeis University, Cum Laude, with a double major in music and creative writing. She received her Master's degree in poetry from Sarah Lawrence College, and a Masters of Sacred Music from Hebrew Union College School of Sacred Music. Shira lives and works as a Cantor and a farrier in Concord, NH, serving several synagogues around the state, and numerous horses. She gives occasional concerts with colleagues, featuring a broad range of musical styles including opera, Yiddish theater, Broadway, and classical Jewish music. Shira and her wife, Robin, who is a Rabbi serving the synagogue in Concord, have a beautiful daughter, and enjoy their work both in the Jewish and greater Interfaith communities.
