Shirin Sadeghi is a journalist and Middle East specialist with an expertise in Iran, Pakistan and the Persian Gulf countries. Her other specialties are minorities in the United States and comparative media analysis.
Her broadcast career began as a Producer and Reporter for the BBC World Service and later as a Producer and Reporter for Al Jazeera English Television. She is a regular columnist for Al Jazeera and two Pakistani national daily newspapers.
In addition to English and Persian, she speaks French, German, Italian, Spanish and Urdu. She completed her PhD in Middle Eastern Studies.
