Shrien Alshabasy is a two time winner of the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards. She has read her fictional piece "Thahab" at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, performed spoken word pieces at the Scholastic Auditorium and has spoken at the New School and St Francis College. She is an aspiring novelist who writes about tragedy, love and forgiveness.
