Dr. Silvia Domínguez, PhD, MSW is an Associate Professor of Sociology and Human Services at Northeastern University. Dr. Dominguez specializes in the welfare of women, children and minority populations globally with additional emphasis on sexual and gender-based violence, race relations and immigration issues. She has expertise in forensic mental health and is affiliated with the Chester M. Pierce, MD Division of Global Psychiatry at the Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH). She has published several articles and wrote "Getting Ahead: Social Mobility, Public Housing and Immigrant Networks" in 2011 with New York University Press and co-edited a book with Betina Holstein coming on Mixed Methods in Social Networks with Cambridge University Press.
