Sir Andy Haines is Professor of Public Health and Primary Care at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine. He was a member of the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change and chaired the Scientific Advisory Panel for the 2013 WHO World Health Report on Research for Universal Health Coverage. In 2015 he chaired The Rockefeller Foundation-Lancet Commission on Planetary Health which called for immediate, global action to protect the health of human civilisation and the natural systems on which it depends.
