Fr. James Lies, C.S.C.

A priest in the Congregation of Holy Cross, Rev. James Lies, C.S.C. was appointed Vice President for Mission at Stonehill College in 2012. In that position, Fr. Lies is responsible for the Office of Campus Ministry, the Center for Nonprofit Management, and the Farm at Stonehill. Additionally, he is charged with engaging the community in a deeper conversation and consideration of the College’s mission as a Catholic institution of higher education in the Holy Cross tradition. He is also an Associate Professor in the College’s Psychology Department. Fr. Lies has a Ph.D. in psychology from the University of Minnesota, a Master of Divinity from the Jesuit School of Theology at Berkeley and a Master of Arts in counseling from the University of Notre Dame.
