Stacey James is an active creative from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. She had a love for writing and music at a very young age. She began writing at age 7 with short stories and poetry which soon turned into lyrics. Needing a way to create the instrumentals to all her poetry and lyrics, she started playing the keyboard which after has lead to the trumpet, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, tenor sax, bass guitar and fiddle as song of her songwriting tools. Stacey began performing at various locations at age 14 within the local hip hop scene and later looking to explore musically, Stacey joined band “GroovePort” as lead vocalist & songwriter for the funk/rock band. After the band had parted ways Stacey went on to find players for her own band “Stacey James & The KiK”. Stacey James has been given the opportunity to share the stage & write with many, many artists throughout North America and Europe. She has many plans for the future with all projects she is currently involved in. As an active creator seeking her next adventure,she believes her journey is endless as she loves to grow, learn and create… Stacey has created a 5 book children's book series titles " Dealings With Feelings", she hopes to release the first book of the series "Working With Time" to the public soon! Aside from Stacey’s love of the arts she is also very passionate about helping others, inspiring and motivating this can be heard through her music. Also writing a children’s book series titled “Dealings With Feelings”. She also keeps herself busy with her annual “Women Helping Women” event to help fundraise and raise awareness for local safe spaces that assist women and children leaving domestic situations.
