Stacey Long

Director of public policy and government affairs, National Gay and Lesbian Task Force

Stacey Long is the director of public policy and government affairs at the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force. She has more than 20 years of public-policy experience, working in both the government and nonprofit sectors. Prior to coming to the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force, she served as the director of advocacy and community development at Bread for the City, a local nonprofit that focuses on the needs of low-income D.C. residents. Long is active in numerous civic and community groups, including serving as the chair of the D.C. Commission for Women and board secretary of SMYAL (Sexual Minority Youth Assistance League). She has an A.B. in Africana Studies from Vassar College, a J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School, and a Nonprofit Management Executive certificate from the Georgetown University Public Policy Institute.
