Amy Steinberg

Singer, Songwriter, Inspirational Leader

Uplifting, enlightening and hilarious with a voice that can burn the house down, Amy Steinberg is singer, songwriter and storyteller like none other. The main thrust of her work comes from marrying the sacred and profane, fusing the dreamlike nature of Spirit with the rooted realness of sexuality and humor. She plays the piano and guitar with her own swingy rhythmic bounce, injecting shades of jazz, rock, hip hop, and poetry, all with a theatrical flair. Deeply soulful, with her bombastic belt and she sings of self-love, open-mindedness, and the holiness of everything. Born outside of Boston, Amy moved to Florida at a young age and began studying Music and Theater as young as age 4. She began writing her own songs feverishly in college, and formed the Amy Steinberg Band in 1999. In 2001, Amy went solo, traveling all over the country spreading love and laughter, meeting thousands of people and making fans the old fashioned way, one performance at a time. Amy traveled extensively, circling the country again and again. During her travels, she was introduced to New Thought spirituality and became Music Director at the Boca Center for Spiritual Living. From there, she moved to Charlotte to be Music Director at the Spiritual Living Center of Charlotte, continuing writing and traveling with her original music. Deeply involved with the New Thought and Positive Music world, playing at conferences, churches, festivals all over the country, her song “Burning into the High” won a Posi Award. This year her song "One with Everything" is nominated. Her original musical "Breaking the Moon," hit the New York Musical Festival last summer. Currently, she is touring the country in support of her 10th independent release, “Broken Open” which is receiving rave reviews.
