Stephanie Ogden

Senior Water Policy Advisor, CARE

Stephanie Ogden is the Senior Water Policy Advisor for CARE’s Water Team. In this role, she works with country offices and key programs to develop strategic approaches and integrated programs that address water, sanitation, hygiene, and water resources management issues at the policy level in order to achieve systemic and lasting impact. Stephanie has worked in and with the WASH and water sectors for 15 years, since serving as a Peace Corps volunteer in rural El Salvador where she focused on water, sanitation, rural health, and women’s empowerment. Since her service, she has lived and worked with organizations in Latin America, Africa, and Central Asia, helping to improve the enabling environment for sustainable water and sanitation services and water resources management. Prior to joining CARE, Stephanie was the WASH Advisor and WASH/NTD Coordinator for the Task Force for Global Health in Atlanta, where she worked to encourage joint efforts between the WASH and neglected tropical disease (NTD) sectors. Stephanie has a B.A. in Humanities, and a Master’s Degree in International Environmental Policy with a graduate certificate in Water Conflict Management and Transformation. She speaks English, Spanish and Russian.
