Photographer, writer, outdoor enthusiast, and devoted canine mom to four rescued pit bulls/pit mixes.
Born and raised in rural south-central Minnesota, I grew up with a love of the outdoors. I have with two brothers, one being my twin (my bragging rights consisted of being one minute older than him). I also grew up around dogs. We had mutts. They were either strays or dogs that were dumped in the country by people who no longer wanted them. We were happy to give them the loving home they deserved.
I have had a love for animals since I was young. I wanted to rescue every bird that made an unfortunate misjudgment and collided into the window, or rescue and raise any wild rabbit the dogs may have located. I was quite successful with those baby rabbits. Dozens were raised and released back into the wild.
Fast forward into adulthood, and that love of animals remains. I have four rescued pit bulls/pit mixes, and they are my world. I believe in advocating for these dogs and educating people about just how loyal, loving and wonderful these dogs can be.
I continue to be involved with local events that benefit animals, I do home checks for potential fosters and adopters of animals for a twin cities-based rescue group, and I volunteer as a photographer for other local events.
